I first picked up a bass guitar in 2005 on a bit of a whim… I’d started to learn the guitar, but didn’t play that very well to be honest, and bought a bass because I liked the look of it.
I then almost immediately put it back in its gig-bag and left it in a cupboard for 17 years.
In September 2022, my brother asked if I still had that bass and if I fancied joining a covers band… so I dusted it off and began learning “on the job”.
